This project was a tenant build out of the 2nd floor in the existing LEED Platinum, Edith Green Wendell Wyatt Federal Building in downtown Portland. The build out included enclosed offices and conference rooms, waiting room, server room, break room and a locker/shower room.
The HVAC design used a combination of radiant ceiling panels and active chilled beams supplied by heating and chilled water from the existing building boiler and chiller plants. Ventilation was provided from the building?s dedicated outdoor air system using a combination of active chilled beams and VAV terminal units connected to CO2 sensors to regulate the supply of fresh air. Jackola provided duct sizing and diffuser/grille layout, design of exhaust and transfer fan systems for the conference and locker rooms, ventilation calculations, radiant ceiling panel layout, and hydronic piping layout. Plumbing design included water, waste and vent sizing and with connections to existing plumbing.
