This fast track 62 room hotel and conference center in Columbia Falls was completed in July of 2016. Jackola worked closely with the owners and design team to coordinate the architectural design and civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering of the hotel and conference center while making allowance for a future 18 room addition. Jackola prepared a PUD for the City of Columbia Falls as well as meeting local storm water regulations. The design started from a previously used 30% template and was then fine tuned to meet the local authorities and the owners requirements. The mechanical system was originally to be designed by the contractor however a last minute change order led to Jackola completing this design in a very short time period. Last minute coordination of MEP items with the building design proved challenging but was completed with only minor issues being discovered during construction. Close coordination with the local authorities allowed for the design of this project to be completed in just 12 weeks. Construction Administration services were provided on an as requested basis and the low cost of these services is a testament to the soundness of the design package produced by Jackola.
