The Forum building is a transition between Southfield Park and Lion?s Park and connects the two with the large archway, which also allows vehicle traffic to flow freely. Each level has office space which shares the core area of stairways, elevators, restrooms and mechanical space. The mechanical system is state of the art with a looped, ground-source heat-pump system. The design team put forth a tremendous effort to provide this building with quality equipment and materials while watching closely to keep the $2.4 M budget in check. The project was accomplished within budget and on time.
The Forum was one of the five buildings built in Southfield Park and four of the buildings were under construction simultaneously. The process began in March of 2001 and was completed in December of 2001. The schedule was extremely tight but neither the design nor the budget were compromised.
