The Garlington Place affordable housing development is a new construction, 52 unit apartment building with living units, a community room, leasing office and small retail area. Each apartment unit has a bathroom, kitchen and living areas with common laundry space on each floor.
Jackola performed HVAC design with the heating and cooling provided by ductless split system heat pumps and outdoor units mounted to the roof. Common exhaust shafts extracted exhaust from the tenant bathrooms and soffits with concealed ductwork routed to the exterior face of the building provided kitchen hood exhaust. The leasing office and retail space were provided with separate split system heat pumps and ventilation air was provided by a heat recovery ventilator located in the ceiling space.
