The Linderman Education Center is a bond funded remodel of an existing 42,000 sf structure. The existing structure was constructed in three separate phases with the original building having a 1929 foundation stone. The design included the creation of a Design Advisory Group (DAG) with members of staff and school district representatives being guided through the design by the Jackola project manager. The DAG created a masterplan of the ideal future for Linderman Education Center and then used this to ensure that the current remodeling project maximized the use of the available school bond funding. Older areas were remodeled to create new classrooms and all existing classrooms were refreshed. Student health and well-being was dramatically improved by the re-introduction of large energy efficient windows and the installation of a ventilation system which features heat recovery. Existing steam boilers and pipework were replaced with new hydronic boilers and control systems.
