This 6,800 SF convenience store was an addition to an existing 3,000 SF facility in Eureka, Montana. Drawing on the local timber industry, the building featured log accents and mountain themed design cues. The store features a Hot Stuff service deli with kitchen and dining area, a grocery store with extensive coolers, as well as a small section for clothing sales. A rear service and storage area was designed to move inventory into the store and access a central office in a mezzanine to look over the store. The site planning was completed to provide a passenger fuel island in the front as well as truck fueling island in the rear requiring two entrances. Special care was taken with the cashier area to maintain good visibility to the store and fueling locations. A new septic system and storm water management design was required since the lot was resurfaced as part of this project. Jackola performed full service design including surveying, civil engineering, architecture, structural engineering and mechanical/electrical engineering services.
