SALISH KOOTENAI COLLEGE

Joe McDonald Health Education Center

Project Overview

As part of Salish Kootenai College’s Health Education Center master plan, Jackola designed a 36,000-square-foot addition to the college’s existing campus fitness center. The Joe McDonald Health Education Center features a full-size NCAA gymnasium with seating for 2,300, locker rooms, an elevated perimeter running track, a demonstration kitchen, offices, and flexible instructional and assembly spaces.

Designed to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding campus, the facility incorporates natural daylighting, energy-efficient building systems, and locally sourced materials. Together with the nearby Performing Arts Center, also designed by Jackola, the Health Education Center helps create a central hub for athletics, education, and campus life.

Jackola has always been fair in the billing and pricing with no hidden costs or surprises. I would recommend Jackola for any architectural, engineering and design work anyone has need of.
