The growth of new construction in the Flathead Valley early in the first decade of this century created a demand for building materials which strained Western Building Center?s ability to serve its customers due to lack of space. As a result an 11,500 SF metal building was added to the existing 13,465 SF facility to accommodate additional retail display space. Additionally, the street-side fa?ade along with the ends of the building were completely architecturally upgraded to present a fresh appearance. Some minor non-structural modifications to the existing facility were also included in the project, most notably to meet current life safety and accessibility requirements.
