Jackola was hired by the school to provide structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil design services as part of a design and build team that was selected by the school. We worked directly with owner, architect, and general contractor to design the addition of 6 classrooms, Grand lobby, concessions, offices, and storage rooms consisting approximately 11,000 SF of new space. The civil design scope included a new parking lot area and site utility design. The mechanical design included modifications to the existing hot water boiler system, a new heat recovery ventilator, gas fired roof top unit, classroom AHUs, and typical plumbing requirements. The existing gymnasium lacked adequate ventilation air and distribution which was modified through this effort. The electrical and structural design included systems typical to school construction.

Notable challenges included building around an existing irrigation well while maintaining access for service to the submersible pump, utilizing the existing site septic system, and designing the addition to coordinate with the existing adjacent building.
