The driving force behind the design process for this restaurant in Great Falls stemmed from the economic roots of central Montana ? agriculture. The building design drew heavily from this background to integrate the features of the old brick flour mills and grain elevators that are slowly disappearing from the Montana landscape. The custom-crafted water wheel, brick exterior over a solid concrete base and high narrow windows were essential elements in executing the old flour mill appearance. The use of natural wood, log, brick and steel was carefully utilized to create a dining atmosphere that is uniquely intersting yet comfortable and pleasing. The site on the Missouri River also included a partially enclosed patio adjacent to Rivers Edge Trail.
